Wake up with Music on my Mind

I'm listening to: A Serious Cacophony

Thus the wedding plans are coming together. We've got clothes picked (but still hunting for the perfect blue flats)... The invitations are mailed (mostly) and the general feel of things is making itself known.

So yay right? Not exactly... My playlist has become a dumping ground for "oh this song's okay" and "well I'm sure mom would like to hear that" it's definitely time for editing.

It's a four hour wedding and I've got about... I dunno 8 hours of music. But it still just doesn't feel right ya know? It's like the ambiance didn't get the memo from the rest of the group.

And to top it off Michael and I have never really had a song. Not one that we called anyway. So there again... what do dance to?

I like to think I have good musical taste I really do. But it's time for some outside help. That's why I'm posting the current playlist (horrible ugly blemishes and all) up for you my friends. Make suggestions, lemmie know if you really think Thriller needs to get played or if you think 3OH is just a bit much.

I'm yours. (musically anyway)

PS- We're going to have a rock band station inside! (no point I just wanted to say it.)

Everything Evolves

I'm listening to: Adam Lambert- Whataya Want From Me

Did you like that pokemon reference? Anyway so plans have totally 100% changed since my last post. When my family found out that we wanted to go to Jamaica for the wedding... well let's just say it didn't bode well with those who couldn't travel. I'm very non regretful about how it's been turning out though!

So the new plan is to have our wedding at the beautiful and historic Cottage at Falls Park. It's got to be just about everything that I want in a location it's outdoors, historic, and there are the beautiful gardens and fairy lights!

And the fact that we're having it at home gives me the option to give it a little DIY lovin' with the decor and everything. I'm going for a very classic but geeky and just a touch rockin' vibe. I really want to thank Kat at Rock 'n Roll Bride for inspiring to make this a unique and very us event!

What I'm most excited about though has to be my dress! It has a very vintage look to it, think ivory colored.. silk and ruching. And to go with it I grabbed a great birdcage veil with white feathery fascinators to go with it.

I'm also very excited to have Once Like a Spark doing our wedding photo's, I just know the picture's will be amazing!

Anyway now I'm just awaiting our invitations. (Here's a sneek peek for you.)

PS- I'm making my own playlist for the reception so any advice on alternatives to the standard wedding fare would be much appreciated!
